Let’s make this easy. Here’s everything you need to know about BODYBAR Pilates, how it works, what to expect, and how to plan your first visit.
Reformer Pilates is a full-body workout performed on a specialized piece of equipment called the Reformer – a sliding carriage with a spring-based resistance system that challenges your muscles through a complete range of motion. It’s low-impact, highly effective, and suitable for all fitness levels. At BODYBAR, we blend classic Reformer Pilates principles with modern athletic training to create a workout experience that’s truly in a class of its own.
Not at all – and that’s exactly the point. BODYBAR was built for every body, whether you’re a seasoned athlete or stepping onto a Reformer for the very first time. Our instructors personally guide you through every movement, and our class formats are designed so that everyone finds their challenge from day one. You just show up; we handle the rest.
Keep it simple: comfortable, form-fitting clothes that allow you to move freely. Think fitted leggings and a snug top – nothing too loose, as clothing can catch on the Reformer springs. Grip socks are required for all classes for safety and stability, and if you do not have a pair yet, we’ve got you covered at the studio.
Just yourself – and maybe a water bottle and small towel. We take care of everything else.
Plan to arrive 15 minutes early so we can get you checked in, introduce you to your instructor, and help acclimate you to the Reformer before class begins.
From there, your instructor will guide you through every movement with clear cues and options along the way – no guessing, no keeping up, just getting stronger. By the end of class, our goal is simple: you should feel supported, challenged, and genuinely accomplished.
If you’re new to BODYBAR or Reformer Pilates, start with Precision – our most popular class and the perfect introduction to the BODYBAR Method. Precision focuses on full-body strength, core stability, and proper form at a pace that lets you learn the movements and build confidence.

Easy – you’ve got a few options. Cancel directly in the BODYBAR app, through your account on our website, or by calling the studio. Just make sure to cancel before the 10-hour window to avoid a late cancellation fee and free up the spot for another member.
We ask that you cancel at least 10 hours before class so your spot can go to another member who wants it. You can cancel at any time through the app, online, or by calling or texting the studio. Late cancellations will result in a fee, so when in doubt, cancel early – it only takes a second and goes a long way for the whole community.
Absolutely! We know life keeps moving, and your membership should be able to keep up. Reach out to your local BODYBAR studio and they’ll walk you through the options available to you.
Members can freeze their membership in 30-day increments, with a maximum of three freezes per year (or a total of 90 days per year). This helps you keep your current membership rate.
We’ll be sad to see you go, but we understand that life changes. To cancel, simply email your studio directly with at least 30 days notice, and they’ll take care of the rest. And if you ever want to come back, we’ll be here.
