As we turn the calendar into June 2022, we’re extremely proud and energized by the growth we’ve experienced so far this year at BODYBAR. As a leading Pilates studio franchise brand, we want to take the opportunity for a mid-year review to celebrate some of the growth we’ve seen while outlining our plans for development moving forward.

Expanding to New Regions

Since January, we’ve brought our services to the southern and midwest regions of the United States with the opening of three new Pilates studios. Opening the first BODYBAR location in Missouri, local entrepreneur Julia Rew saw the opportunity to blend her passion for fitness and business ownership in her hometown Kansas City market.

BODYBAR Wichita, our first Kansas location, was also recently launched by franchisee Kalene Hoffman. Kalene brings years of independent gym ownership experience to the BODYBAR family and is thrilled to bring BODYBAR’s signature integrative workouts to her neighbors in the community.

Celebrating even more firsts, BODYBAR’s inaugural Florida studio recently opened in Lakewood Ranch under the ownership of local entrepreneurs Kristen and Shane Ward. Bringing a fresh Pilates franchise to the community, the Wards are excited to tap into the devoted Pilates fanbase in the Lakewood Ranch market.

Robust Development Pipeline with Franchisee Expansion

On top of our recent openings, there are multiple BODYBAR studios in development – with some slated to open later this year – and plans to expand into new states like Alabama, Idaho, California, and Tennessee as well as existing markets.

Bringing the second BODYBAR location to the Salt Lake City, Utah, area, local entrepreneurs Colin and Heidi Christensen are ready to elevate the Pilates experience in Salt Lake City. The Christensens bring extensive experience in healthcare technology, marketing and real estate – along with Heidi’s previous experience as a Pilates instructor at BODYBAR.

Coming to Bee Cave, Texas, local Pilates instructor Katy Kenney will lean on her fitness and business management experience to raise the BAR in the Austin market. Plus, we have additional agreements signed to expand into Birmingham, Alabama; Boise, Idaho; and San Diego, California.

With the first half of the year in the books, we are thrilled to continue to build on this momentum, bringing our athletically driven workouts to new communities nationwide.
